It is another EPL thriller as Swansea hosts Liverpool to the Liberty stadium this evening. Swansea  had a brief respite from their Premier League misery in midweek. They beat Championship leaders Wolves in their FA Cup Replay to progress to the 4th round, although the fact they could well be replaced by Wolves in next season’s top flight will still be weighing heavily on their minds.

Form

Swansea’s home form isn’t exactly promising either. They have won just two Premier League games at The Liberty Stadium this season, drawing twice and losing the remaining seven matches, a record which has contributed greatly to their bottom of the table standing. Now they face a Liverpool side coming off the back of a huge victory at Anfield last weekend.

Mohamed Salah absolutely ran the show against Manchester City as he continues to improve under Jurgen Klopp, with the hosts winning a thrilling 4-3 match and resigning Manchester City to their first defeat of the league season. It may have been nervy at the end as Manchester City pulled two goals back, but Liverpool fully deserved the victory and will be brimming with confidence.

This victory made it five on the bounce in all competitions, and they are unbeaten in a very impressive 18 competitive games. This takes them to 3rd in the Premier League, three points behind arch rivals Manchester United but still five adrift of Manchester City at the top.

Liverpool may have dropped a lot of needless points this season, but you can’t fault them from an entertainment point of view. They have seen a total of 28 goals in their last six league games, with all of these matches seeing at least three goals in total. Considering their free scoring ways and dodgy back line, we’re expecting a high scoring game here.

Prediction

The visitors will definitely be aiming for the three points as well, and given their recent form, we fully expect them to get it. Backing a Liverpool Win and Over 2.5 Goals looks a good choice.
